You'll be entrusted with:
- Setting up and operating diverse Lathes & Mills.
- May run multiple machines while ensuring exceptional quality.
- Adjusting machine tools for precise operations.
- Performing frequent machine setups to meet varying production needs.
- Expanding your skills by training on different machine tools.
- Conducting routine maintenance tasks, such as fluid and filter changes.
- Maintaining an orderly and clean workspace.
- Interpreting and following process sheets, mechanical drawings, and blueprints.
- Utilizing your GD&T knowledge to ensure precision.
- Adapting to other tasks as necessary to support production goals.
- Working from both written and verbal instructions effectively.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED.
- Technical training certificate or equivalent experience.
- High competency in using micrometers, indicators, and calipers.
- Experience working with blueprints and understanding GD&T.
- Ability to sit, stand, and walk for long periods intermittently.
- Capable of lifting materials up to 70 lbs.
- Willingness to work beyond normal hours if needed.
- Ability to handle stressful situations.
- Understanding of both Metric and English measuring systems.
- Knowledge of cutting media and material properties is beneficial.
Working Conditions:
- Typically in a production environment.
- Exposure to industrial oils, coolants, solvents, lubricants, adhesives, and other chemicals (all safety precautions will be followed).
- Some independent actions and decision-making required.
Physical Requirements:
- Daily periodic lifting of materials and parts weighing up to 70 lbs.
- Intermittent long periods of sitting and standing.
