Position: Machine Operator - Wichita, KS

Job Description & Requirements:

•Sets up and operates a variety of machine tools to make parts, mechanisms, tools, or machines to exacting tolerances and dimensions.
•Interprets blueprints, sketches, and engineering specifications; determines sequence of operations, number of cuts required, and method of setup; uses a variety of machinist's hand tools and precision measuring instruments; makes standard shop computations relating to dimensions of work, tooling, feeds, and speeds; measures, marks, and scribes dimensions and reference points to lay out stock for machining; fits and assembles precision parts into mechanical equipment and determines material, parts, and equipment required.

Required
•Must have basic machine operator skills
•Knowledge of station safety, quality (clean as you go / Foreign Object Debris) and OSHA regulations
•Good verbal and written communication skills in English.
•Ability to articulate complex issues to others.
•Ability to maintain confidentiality in all matters is essential.
•Demonstrated effectiveness in interpersonal skills.

Required:
•At least 3 years’ machine operator experience
•Must be willing and able to work any shift to include working overtime as needed
Preferred:
•5+ years minimum experience in aviation production

Required
•High School Diploma/GED or WorkKeys Assessment completion
•The ability to successfully complete the following training provided by Airbus after recruitment:
•Health & Safety
•General aircraft familiarization
•Quality training

Preferred
•Training from a vocational school or previous employer in the use of machine operations
