We are collaborating with an innovative biopharmaceutical company in the search for a Medical Science Liaison (MSL) in the area of rare diseases. This position will cover Portugal and part of Spain.

We are looking for a professional with solid experience as an MSL in Rare Diseases, who can contribute not only through scientific expertise and relationship management, but also with a clear strategic vision and the motivation to play an active role in the development of the medical function.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

• Develop and demonstrate a thorough working knowledge of the company, its products, as well as current medical / scientific research & publications.
• Establish Medical Affairs presence in the medical community through long-term and valued scientific relationships with thought leaders, the medical community, and patient organizations.
• Represent the company at all scientifically and medically relevant events in the designated geographical area.
• Provide medical/scientific presentations to internal and external groups
• Provide internal stakeholders with feedback and insights from field interactions and discussions with Health Care Professionals.
• Provide support at professional meetings and congresses, collecting insights and competitive intelligence, and developing tools that support medical functions at the meeting.
• Maintain clinical, scientific, and technical expertise in rare disease therapeutic areas.
• Review scientific journals and attend scientific and key technical meetings.
