Job Description
We are looking for an M&A Tax Associate to work for our client. The ideal candidate aligns with the responsibilities and qualifications outlined below.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in the development and execution of tax strategies related to mergers, acquisitions, and other complex transactions.
- Provide consulting services to high-net-worth individuals and families, focusing on estate planning, wealth transfer, and tax optimization.
- Conduct tax due diligence and identify potential risks and opportunities in proposed transactions.
- Collaborate with legal, financial, and advisory teams to structure deals in a tax-efficient manner.
- Research and interpret federal, state, and international tax laws to support strategic planning initiatives.
- Prepare and review tax memoranda, reports, and client deliverables.
- Stay current on changes in tax legislation and assess their impact on clients and transactions.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 4+ years of experience in M&A tax, estate planning, or high-net-worth tax consulting.
- Strong understanding of partnership taxation, corporate tax structures, and estate/gift tax rules.
- Excellent research, analytical, and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple engagements and work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience with tax software and financial modeling tools is a plus.
