Position Summary

The Luxury Business Development Manager will be accountable for the delivery of our growth and business plans for selected key brands in DR. They drive the Breakout Commercial Growth plans for this country and partner with different team members to deliver against the growth agenda. They also nurture the Breakout Growth Brands ambition, while building positive relationships with key internal and external partners. Needs to influence, collaborate and have impact across multiple internal cross-functional teams (all Commercial area, Promotion, Marketing, PR etc), and external customer groups to drive performance and execution.

• Commercially savvy to drive action with key stakeholders including distributor partners and customers
• Flexibility and ability to adjust fast. Ability to navigate complexity and ambiguity to provide clarity and simplification.

Job Responsibilities

• Accountable and responsible for delivery Breakout Growth Brands strategy
• Sets ‘Luxury’ multi-year strategy to deliver brand ambition and aligns the business accordingly
• Ensures in-year growth plans and building blocks are clear and aligned on with key customers
• Ensures all EDGE goals are fit-for-purpose and works through Commercial Director to embed
• Works with the other areas to ensure pricing and promo strategies are working properly
• Is country guide on brand’s consumer, channel, and customer strategies/priorities
• Has clear Performance Management routines down to the outlet level by growth driver
• Accountable for depletions, NSV, rate of sale, and trade/A&P investment allocation delivery
• Acts as main point of contact for coordination on all strategies related to brand portfolio
• Acts with an entrepreneurial, forward-thinking demeanor while understanding broader business priorities

Knowledge, Skills & Behaviors Required

• Undergraduate degree required; must have 10+ years of market development and selling experience
with shown successes in achieving volume and profit targets
• Must have field sales & distributor management experience
• Must have thorough knowledge of financial management, including working applications of financial planning, analysis, and strategy
• Must have skills in pricing analysis and effectiveness. Must understand and apply data analysis to drive effective portfolio strategies
• Understands supplier/distributor dynamics and product supply chain
• Must be performance and process oriented to understand how to use and implement metrics to measure performance
• Persuasive sell, negotiation, & problem solving
• Complete understanding of beverage alcohol business math
• Ability to seek out brand growth opportunities through the lens of magnificent execution, brand marketing opportunities and activation that creates consumer engagement
• Superior platform skills in oral, written, and electronic communication
