Low-Voltage Technician

*Competitive Pay Rate up to $24.00 per hour

We are seeking a security systems technician experienced with video surveillance, access control and intrusion alarm systems installation and repair. As a security technician you will provide security solutions for commercial and government facilities.

Responsibilities:

• Install, program and configure commercial electronic security systems for enterprise commercial clients (door access control, CCTV, intrusion detection, low voltage communication, electronic locks, ect. )
• Connection of control panels, application requirements, wire concealment, and security software installation
• Troubleshoot installations to ensure the systems are functioning properly and satisfy codes
• Manage several medium to large jobs simultaneously and doing so within approved hours and margin tolerances
• Drive to client sites and perform the system installation
• Strong customer service and communication skills

Requirements:

• High School Degree or equivalent is required
• Minimum 2-3 years of experience in the physical security, fire alarm or low voltage communication industry
• Working knowledge of surveillance/IP cameras, access control and burglar alarm system.
• Must have diagnostics skills to troubleshoot system issues and be a problem solver
• Must have clear communication skills

Non-technical Requirements:

• Must be able to pass a criminal background check

• Valid driver's license with a driving record in good standing
• Ability to work safely on sites using ladders and lifts
• Ability to stand for long periods of time
• Ability to lift 50lbs or more
• Finger dexterity for use of applicable tools
• Must have good hand/eye coordination
• Ability to climb, bend, stoop, and reach freely
