We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Physician Assistant to join our team at a full-time position in a nurturing Long Term Care setting located in Waterloo, NY. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Deliver consistent and compassionate care to nursing home residents.
- Manage a comprehensive medical plan for each patient.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to improve care processes and patient outcomes.
- Monitor and record patient progress in response to therapeutic interventions.
- Provide guidance on disease prevention and lifestyle adjustments aimed at enhancing overall health.
- Engage with families and caregivers to educate and inform them of patient status and care plans.
- Supervise the administration of medications and treatments prescribed by physicians.
- Assess urgent and emergent health conditions using refined diagnostic skills.
Minimum Position Qualifications:
- Board Certified Physician Assistant.
- Valid New York State Physician Assistant license.
- Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program.
- Demonstrated experience in long-term care, geriatrics, or adult medicine.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Commitment to ethical principles and patient confidentiality.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with electronic medical record systems.
- Advanced training or certifications relevant to geriatrics or chronic disease management.
- Demonstrated leadership in clinical settings.
