Long Term Care Physician Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Physician Assistant to join our team at a full-time position in a nurturing Long Term Care setting located in Waterloo, NY. Salary: $115,000 - $135,000 per year

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Deliver consistent and compassionate care to nursing home residents.
  • Manage a comprehensive medical plan for each patient.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to improve care processes and patient outcomes.
  • Monitor and record patient progress in response to therapeutic interventions.
  • Provide guidance on disease prevention and lifestyle adjustments aimed at enhancing overall health.
  • Engage with families and caregivers to educate and inform them of patient status and care plans.
  • Supervise the administration of medications and treatments prescribed by physicians.
  • Assess urgent and emergent health conditions using refined diagnostic skills.

Minimum Position Qualifications:

  • Board Certified Physician Assistant.
  • Valid New York State Physician Assistant license.
  • Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program.
  • Demonstrated experience in long-term care, geriatrics, or adult medicine.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Commitment to ethical principles and patient confidentiality.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with electronic medical record systems.
  • Advanced training or certifications relevant to geriatrics or chronic disease management.
