JOB DESCRIPTION

We are currently hiring for a Logistics Team Lead in Greer, SC. Our client is a sports apparel distribution center. The Logistics Team Lead will play a key role in supporting warehouse operations by leading and motivating team members, maintaining workflow efficiency, and ensuring adherence to company procedures. This position will also assist the Warehouse Supervisor and Manager in daily operations, focusing on safety, productivity, employee development, and quality standards.

Responsibilities of a Logistics Team Lead:

  • Lead day-to-day logistics operations, ensuring tasks align with departmental goals and timelines.
  • Operate SAP software for shipping, receiving, and inventory management functions.
  • Serve as a role model for the team by promoting a positive work culture and high morale.
  • Support and maintain lean manufacturing principles and uphold 5S housekeeping standards.
  • Act as a backup for the Supervisor, including facility opening and closing duties.
  • Safely operate industrial forklift equipment for material handling and storage.

Requirements & Skills:

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Minimum 2 years of leadership experience in a warehouse or logistics setting.
  • Prior experience in material handling within a manufacturing or logistics environment.
  • Proficient judgment and decision-making skills in following established procedures.
  • Familiarity with SAP
  • Ability to communicate and interpret work instructions clearly to ensure team compliance with safety, quality, and efficiency goals.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and delegation skills.
  • Ability to evaluate product quality and make appropriate decisions.
