Position Responsibilities:
Reporting to the VP Transportation & Logistics for a leading food supplier and distributor. Established in 1930, they have provided foodservice operators with a high quality and customized selection of food products. Stands out from competition by offering superb service, responsiveness, and product selection, while maintaining competitive pricing and exceptional reliability through a strong supply chain strategy.
The Logistics Manager is responsible for effectively managing the outbound master routing for private fleet deliveries and growing the inbound logistics program to drive income results. Effectively manages vendor base of controlled freight lanes to ensure market costs. Conducts analysis of customer restaurant level demand and supplier demand and makes decision to effectively use resources and deliver premium service. Solves freight problems and deals with a variety of variables in situations where some standardization exists. Manages administrative support duties to include data and transaction entries into Transportation Management Systems, billing functions, reporting, presentations. Effectively communicates and interacts with cross functional departments to optimize costs, increase revenues, and maximize efficiencies.

Background Required:

  • Monthly Reporting (financials and scorecards)
  • Computer literate: Microsoft Suite
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree or 4 years relevant experience
  • Residence: Lebanon, TN (Hybrid work environment)
