As a Litigation Attorney - Insurance Defense, you will be instrumental in managing complex insurance defense matters across multiple lines of coverage. You’ll work in a collaborative environment alongside highly experienced litigators, leveraging the support of an integrated legal team. Focus:
- Manage a full caseload of insurance defense litigation matters involving general liability, professional liability, property damage, and complex torts.
- Develop litigation strategies tailored to each client’s goals.
- Draft and argue motions including dispositive and discovery-related motions.
- Conduct depositions of parties, fact witnesses, and experts.
- Participate in mediation, arbitration, and trial, including first-chair responsibilities.
- Maintain proactive communication with clients, claims professionals, and opposing counsel.
- Supervise paralegals and junior attorneys on assigned cases as needed.
Skill Set:
- Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
- Licensed and in good standing to practice law in the state of New Jersey and/or Pennsylvania.
- 5+ years of litigation experience, with a strong emphasis on insurance defense or civil litigation.
- Prior trial experience, including first or second-chair trial responsibilities, highly preferred.
- Superior analytical and writing skills with meticulous attention to detail.
- Excellent oral advocacy and negotiation skills.
- Capable of managing multiple complex cases independently.
- Commitment to client service and maintaining long-term relationships.
