SITUATION & JOB/PROJECT OVERVIEW:

Universal Property and Casualty company is one of the largest Property and Casualty companies in FL and provides coverage across 18 other states. They offer insurance for homeowners, renters, condos, and landlords through their network of independent agents and through their direct-to-consumer online website. Universal is hiring several Litigation Adjusters due to a new law that was passed in July in Fl which has caused an influx in litigated cases for Universal.

DAY to DAY RESPONSIBILITIES/TASKS:

In this role, you will be responsible for handling cases in suite while communicating with independent adjusters, desk adjusters, attorneys, and other experts in-order to gather information on claims for Universal. Throughout this process, you will be discussing the litigation strategy, exposure and potential settlement of lawsuits with the litigation supervisor. You will be expected to manage around 150 claims in a remote role

MUST HAVE SKILLS:

· 2-3 most recent years’ experience as a litigation adjuster handling 100-200 claims at at time

· Must have a FL 5-20 license - self appointed, paid for and took exam themselves

· 2+ years’ experience in Florida insurance laws and claims
