This role is ideal for candidates who are already connected within the A&D (architects and designers) or engineering space, and who can hit the ground running with existing industry relationships. The successful hire will be responsible for building relationships, driving revenue, and ensuring the brand’s presence across specification channels.

Focus:
- Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with architects, lighting designers, engineers, and other specification influencers.
- Drive the specification of commercial and architectural lighting products in high-profile projects.
- Educate the design and construction community on the benefits and applications of the product line.
- Coordinate with internal sales, engineering, and project teams to ensure seamless service from specification to installation.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and client needs to identify opportunities for growth.
- Attend and represent the company at trade shows, networking events, and continuing education presentations.
- Consistently meet or exceed sales goals in a project-based sales environment.
Skill Set:
- Prior experience in lighting, electrical, construction, or a similar technical sales environment is preferred.
- Established relationships in the A&D or specifier community are a major plus.
- Passion for architecture, design, or construction and the ability to speak the language of the industry.
- High emotional intelligence and strong interpersonal communication skills.
- Self-starter mentality with a high degree of professionalism and integrity.
- Willingness to travel locally to build and maintain client relationships.
