About the Company:

Our client is a world class producer of steel. With over 600 employees they pride themselves on providing top notch services to their clients and an amazing place to work for their employees.

They are expanding at a rapid rate and are seeking to add a Licensed Millwright to their team!

Responsibilities:

• Inspect mill equipment for defects such as misalignment, wear, insufficient lubrication, etc.
• Determine the best way of making repairs to minimize interruption of production
• Dismantle, clean, replace, install and maintain mechanical equipment
• Troubleshoot and repair all plant hydraulic, water, lubrication and air or gas systems and their associated equipment
• Work with repair crew as directed on an emergency basis
• Arrange for the handling of materials and equipment to perform job
• Work with other trades, as required, on jobs required to maintain mill production
• Provide feedback to lead hand and/or foreman about job status
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements:

• 433A Industrial Millwright certification or documentation to complete exam within 12 months of hire
• Must possess a valid driver’s license with access to a reliable vehicle
• In depth knowledge of Rod Mill process
• Must be comfortable working 12 hour rotating continental shift
• Bilingual French and English considered to be a strong asset
