About the Company:

Our client is a world class producer of steel. With over 600 employees they pride themselves on providing top notch services to their clients and an amazing place to work for their employees.

They are expanding at a rapid rate and are seeking to add a Licensed Electrician to their team!

Responsibilities:

  • Plan and perform work requiring a thorough working knowledge of electrical principles and codes, wire specification, the properties of various materials and the operation and application of equipment
  • Locate sources of trouble of any type of electrical equipment by tracing and testing circuits and inspecting for faulty operation (troubleshooting)
  • Dismantle and assemble, inspect, repair, adjust, or replace faulty parts and wiring on motors, generators, power distribution and control panel circuit breakers, rectifiers, electronic devices, etc.
  • Adjust contactors, relays, etc. Reconnect terminal leads, panel boards and distribution feeders
  • Install conduits, wires, fittings, switches, controls, and fixtures
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements:

  • 442A or 309A Electrician certification or documentation to write exam within 12 months of hire
  • Must have at least 3 years of electrical experience
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license with access to a vehicle
  • Prior experience working on AC/DC motors, AC/DC drives, PLC’s and distributed I/O’s
  • Bilingual French and English considered to be a strong asset
  • Must be able to work a continental shift
