Position Overview:
The Senior Loan Manager will lead and oversee the Loan and Collection Departments, ensuring exceptional member service, operational excellence, and full regulatory compliance. This role manages all aspects of consumer, commercial, and real estate lending while driving innovation in loan products and strategies to meet evolving member needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead, plan, and evaluate all lending and collection operations in alignment with credit union policies and NCUA/state regulations.

  • Develop and manage loan budgets, goals, and competitive products that respond to market trends.

  • Oversee end-to-end loan processing—from application review to funding—ensuring accuracy, documentation integrity, and compliance.

  • Manage business, commercial, residential, and personal loan portfolios, including documentation, insurance, and account maintenance.

  • Serve as primary liaison for regulators, auditors, and committees, maintaining required logs and reports.

  • Coach and supervise staff, fostering a culture of compliance, service excellence, and confidentiality.

  • Conduct site visits for business loans and coordinate with third parties for underwriting and documentation.

  • Monitor portfolio caps and proactively communicate with the Credit Committee on limits and trends.

  • Keep executive leadership informed of departmental performance and its impact on the credit union’s success.
