Because of expansive growth American Power & Gas is seeking a Legal Manager to add to our legal team. This is a fulltime permanent on-site role.

We have been offering Green Energy solutions to both residential and small commercial customers for over 25 years and have won the award for fastest growing company in the Tampa Bay Business Journal as well as being featured in Forbes and the Huffington Post.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide legal advice and support to leadership and internal departments

• Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, agreements, and vendor documents

• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, particularly within the energy and utilities sector

• Manage regulatory filings, audits, and responses to inquiries

• Oversee disputes, claims, and coordination with outside counsel when necessary

• Develop and maintain internal legal policies and procedures

• Monitor changes in laws and regulations impacting the business

• Support corporate governance and risk management initiatives

Requirements

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school

• Active bar membership in good standing

• 3+ years of relevant legal experience (in-house or law firm)

• Experience in energy, utilities, regulatory compliance, or corporate law preferred

• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills

• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

• High level of professionalism, discretion, and attention to detail
