Responsibilities:
• Setting up and maintaining digital and paper files.
• Maintaining and monitoring attorney’s calendar to ensure no deadlines/meetings/hearings are
missed.
• Entering attorney’s time into TABS.
• Preparing statements to be sent to clients.
• Formatting and proofreading various documents and written communications.
• Transcribing dictation.
• Other Miscellaneous duties attorneys may require in their every day practice of law.
Necessary Skills:
• Previous experience working in a defense firm.
• Ability to communicate in a professional and courteous manner with individuals inside and
outside of the firm.
• Strong knowledge of, and skills in, Microsoft Office products including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Experience using TABS or similar billing software.
• Experience billing clients through Third Party Administrators (TPAs).
• Experience formatting and proofreading pleadings and other documents.
• Experience filing pleadings through AlaFile website and searching cases on AlaCourt website.
• Strong computer skills.
