We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Structural Engineer to join our Building Design team in Conyers. As a pivotal member of our engineering department, you will play a key role in delivering innovative and high-quality structural designs for a diverse array of building projects. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Lead and oversee the structural design of various building projects from conception through completion.
- Coordinate with project teams, clients, and other stakeholders to ensure design specifications and standards are met.
- Utilize state-of-the-art software such as Revit, Bentley (RAM) products, RISA, EnerCalc, and Adapt to develop models and structural analyses.
- Mentor junior engineers and provide guidance on complex engineering issues.
- Ensure all projects comply with regulatory and safety standards.
- Participate in project meetings and deliver presentations to clients and stakeholders.
- Stay abreast of industry trends and technological advancements to continually enhance workflow and design quality.
Minimum Position Qualifications:
- BS degree in Civil or Structural Engineering; MS degree preferred.
- Active Professional Engineer or Structural Engineering license, possibly in multiple states.
- Extensive experience in building design and structural engineering.
- Proficiency in Revit and familiarity with other industry-standard software.
- Strong understanding of construction processes and building codes.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Over 10 years of experience in building design and structural analysis.
- Previous leadership or project management experience in a structural engineering context.
- Experience working on LEED-certified projects and other sustainable building practices.
- Professional registration in additional states.
Skills:
- Expert-level skills in structural design and modeling using Revit.
