We are searching for a Lead Sales Engineer to join our client's growing team.

The Lead Sales Engineer will be responsible for:
  • Working closely with the Sales leadership team
  • Develop, coordinate and oversee the process, procedures and practices required to develop a competitive design
  • Assist the division sales and profit efforts through support of the builders and District Sales Managers
  • Provide guidance on design solutions to ensure a competitive advantage in the market
  • Create safe and economical project design solutions, aware of economic impacts of structural decisions based upon metal building price, erection concerns and total in-place cost of construction
  • Provide technical expertise both over the phone and in face to face meetings with customers and District Sales Managers
  • Provide input with "unique" Scope requirements from the standpoint of business risk, product application, and economical solutions
  • Work with Sales leadership in developing unique selling strategies for projects
  • Assist with the recruiting and development of division's engineering staff
  • Lead the Inside Sales team and set vision for the future
  • Travel as required and often on short notice
Qualifications for the position include:
  • BS degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
  • 3+ years of metal building design experience

Preferred qualifications include:

  • Active registration as a Professional Engineer
  • Strong leadership/interpersonal skills; developing relationships based on trust and respect
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Effective computer skills
  • Strong organizational skills with a proven ability to prioritize tasks and manage time resources in an unsupervised atmosphere
