JOB DESCRIPTION

Job Impulse, Inc. has an immediate opening for a Process Technician in Rochester Hills, MI. Our client is a leading manufacturer in the automotive industry, specializing in precision plastic injection molding and assembly solutions. The Process Technician is responsible for ensuring production processes are properly set up, maintained, and optimized to achieve quality, efficiency, and safety standards.

Responsibilities of a Process Technician include:

  • Set up and troubleshoot injection molding machines, auxiliary equipment, and automation systems.

  • Monitor, adjust, and optimize molding processes to maintain consistent product quality.

  • Perform mold changes, machine start-ups, and shut-downs in a timely manner.

  • Conduct preventative maintenance on machines and equipment.

  • Work with engineering and quality teams to implement process improvements.

  • Identify root causes of process or quality issues and recommend corrective actions.

  • Ensure all safety, quality, and production standards are followed.

Job Requirements of a Process Technician:

  • Ability to troubleshoot and optimize injection molding processes.

  • Strong mechanical aptitude with hands-on machine experience.

  • Knowledge of plastic injection molding machinery, tools, and auxiliary equipment.

  • Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

REQUIRED Experience and Education:

  • High school diploma or GED required; technical training preferred.

  • 2+ years of experience as a Process Technician in plastic injection molding.

  • Familiarity with robotics and automation is a plus.

  • Experience in the automotive industry preferred.

Conducting drug screening and/or background check inquiries may be necessary for employment purposes.
