Lead Physical Therapist

As a Lead Physical Therapist, you will be entrusted with the responsibility of coordinating and delivering comprehensive rehabilitative services focused on restoring function, enhancing mobility, and amplifying the quality of life for our participants. Operating directly within our treatment facilities and through at-home visits, you will be a pivotal component of a multidisciplinary team dedicated to progressive care. Salary: $100,000 - $130,000 per year

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Perform comprehensive Physical Therapy assessments in both clinical and home settings to establish care needs, preferences, and objectives.
  • Engage actively in Interdisciplinary Team (IDT) meetings to collaboratively formulate care plans for participants.
  • Execute and document Physical Therapy interventions as prescribed by physicians or outlined in care plans.
  • Implement a variety of therapeutic treatments including exercises, muscle re-education, and training in activities of daily living using methods such as massage and hydrotherapy.
  • Oversee Therapy Assistants, furnishing necessary training and guidance to effectively carry out Functional Maintenance Programs.
  • Deliver expert training and guidance to staff, participants, and caregivers on the utilization and upkeep of therapeutic equipment.

Minimum Position Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Physical Therapy with five years of relevant experience.
  • Current licensure as a Physical Therapist in California or proof of eligibility for licensing.
  • Proven experience working in a clinical setting, preferably with a focus on elderly or frail populations.
  • Understanding and application of physical therapy principles, theories, and practices.
  • Ability to perform assessments and formulate effective care plans.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to interact effectively with patients, their families, and other healthcare professionals.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master’s Degree or Doctorate in Physical Therapy.
  • At least two years of specialized experience in geriatric physical therapy.
  • CPR certification or the willingness to obtain certification.
  • Experience with therapeutic modalities such as electrotherapy or ultrasound treatment.
  • Demonstrated leadership in managing therapy assistants and conducting training programs.
