Department: Line Operations
Reports To: Production Supervisor
Pay: $23–$27 per hour, based on experience
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 6:30 AM–3:30 PM, with some weekends as production requires
Overtime: Typically 4–8 hours per week
Location: Pearland, TX

About the Role
SolvChem is seeking a Lead Operator to serve as a hands-on leader for our packaging and containerizing team. You'll direct and support Line Operators while working alongside them in daily production. You'll coordinate workflow, monitor productivity, uphold quality standards, and keep the team safe.

What You'll Do

• Lead daily packaging and containerizing operations by assigning tasks, coordinating workflow, and monitoring production
• Train and mentor new and existing employees on procedures, equipment operation, quality standards, and company policies
• Monitor productivity and staffing levels to keep production on schedule
• Conduct quality checks to make sure products are packaged and labeled to company and customer specifications
• Maintain accurate production records, inventory documentation, and shift reports
• Enforce safety procedures and proper PPE use, and keep the work area clean and organized
• Troubleshoot production delays, equipment issues, and quality concerns, and recommend process improvements

What You Bring

• High school diploma or GED
• 3+ years of manufacturing, production, or packaging experience
• At least 1 year in a supervisory or lead role
• Valid forklift certification, or the ability to obtain it upon hire
• Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and the ability to adapt in a fast-paced environment
• Experience in chemical, packaging, or industrial manufacturing is a plus
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) strongly preferred. About half of the team is Spanish-speaking.
