SUMMARY

This position is responsible for selling logistics and freight forwarding services to generate new revenue to achieve the Sales team's goals through communication with clients and through daily shipments operation. Always be aware of improving customer satisfaction and handle new and existing business as assigned to strength the relationship between customers and company.
This position is required to lead the work of other associates of Inside Sales and Customer Service under the direction of the Sales Manager.

Essential Functions
  • Contact existing and new customers directed by the Sales Manager to obtain new business.
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for existing and new business customers.
  • Carry out practical day to day operation of import and export, transportation shipments for customers assigned.
  • Collect information for expanding new business through day-to-day operation, make proposals to the Sales manager and implement sales activities.
  • Carry out sales activities to reach the number of new business and new sales targets periodically instructed by the Sales Manager
  • Prepare rate quotation and presentation for customers.
  • Advise customers and propose custom-made services according to customers' requirements.
  • Research transportation market situation and present to customers.
  • Conduct trouble shooting between company and customers.
  • Develop vendors and negotiate rates and service and create and maintain vendors' list.
  • Support Sales Manager to create, negotiate, and conclude business contracts with customers.
  • Monitor regularly accounts receivable data obtained from accounting and collect from customers.
  • Lead inside sales team associates to meet daily's team tasks and monitor progress of sales team associates and report to Sales Manager.
  • Act as company representative of annual customer survey and share feedback to Sales Manager.
  • Project Supports to sales manager including costing and pricing, analysis of P&L.
  • Prepare and modify, update presentation materials such company service profile.
  • Visit existing and potential customers, vendors, and other Domestic and International branches domestically or internationally if instructed by company.
  • Carry out duties not specifically mentioned herein when the Sales manager or company instructs.
Education
  • Bachelor's degree preferred in business, marketing, economics, Logistics or related field
Experience
  • 3-5 years Sales / Logistics or freight forwarding companies.
Skills
  • Excellent Written and verbal communication.
  • Understanding of Logistics Service, Sales process and dynamics.
  • Superb interpersonal skills, including the ability to quickly build rapport with both customers and suppliers.
  • A commitment to excellent customer service.
  • Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook Japanese/English Bilingual preferred.
