Job Description

Our client, a growing people consulting firm, is seeking an experienced Lead Consultant to oversee consulting engagements, manage client relationships, and guide the delivery of high-quality HR solutions.

This role requires strong expertise across core HR functions, and excellent client management capabilities. The Lead Consultant will provide oversight on reports, project designs, and deliverables and shall ultimately ensure consistent value creation for clients and the firm.

Key Responsibilities


Client Engagement & Relationship Management

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for key clients, ensuring strong relationships and sustained engagement.

  • Lead client meetings, presentations, and reviews to understand needs, track progress, and ensure satisfaction.

  • Build and maintain strategic partnerships that enhance the firm’s presence in the HR ecosystem.

  • Monitor client expectations and resolve issues promptly to maintain service excellence.

Consulting Delivery & Oversight

  • Provide leadership across consulting projects, ensuring timely delivery and high-quality outputs.

  • Review and approve reports, proposals, frameworks, and solution designs before client submission.

  • Support the development and implementation of HR strategies, policies, and interventions tailored to client needs.

  • Ensure project scopes, timelines, and deliverables are well-defined and executed effectively.

Team Leadership, Coaching & Supervision

  • Mentor and guide consultants, offering regular check-ins, coaching, and performance feedback.

  • Support skill development and professional growth within the consulting team.

  • Assign tasks, review work, and ensure quality control across all consultant deliverables.

  • Foster a collaborative environment that promotes learning, accountability, and innovation.

Industry Knowledge & Thought Leadership

  • Stay informed on HR trends, labour laws, organizational development best practices, and emerging models.

  • Contribute to research, thought leadership pieces, and internal knowledge-sharing initiatives.

  • Represent the firm at workshops, HR forums, conferences, and professional events as required.

Strategic Support

  • Work closely with leadership to align project outcomes with broader firm strategy.

  • Offer insights from engagements that guide service improvements, product development, and business growth.

  • Support business development efforts through proposal drafting, scoping, and presenting HR solutions.

Qualifications & Experience


  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Industrial Psychology, Business Administration, or related field (Master’s degree is an advantage).

  • 6+ years of progressive experience in HR consulting or HR management roles.

  • Strong understanding of core HR functions including talent acquisition, performance management, organizational development, employee relations, compensation, and HR strategy.

  • Demonstrated experience leading consulting projects and supervising junior or mid-level consultants.

  • Proven ability to manage multiple client accounts and engagements simultaneously.

  • Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.

  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to translate HR challenges into clear, practical solutions.
