Lead Business Analyst

What you'll be doing:

Collaborate with Insurance clients to gather data and analytics requirements and help design and develop solutions to provide business insights and manage business performance. You will be responsible for gathering customer requirements, analyzing those requirements, and assisting in the implementation of our in-house insurance data platform. The person must have knowledge and experience of insurance products and processes.

  • Lead requirements gathering and data mapping for data integrations between data sources and our insurance data solution by analyzing, soliciting, and formalizing requirements.
  • Create business requirements documents from which solutions will be designed.
  • Help design new solutions by analyzing and interpreting clients' requirements.
  • Create data mappings between source and target systems, including business and transformation rules.
  • Lead requirements gathering for reports, dashboards, and advanced analytics by analyzing, soliciting, and formalizing requirements.
  • Responsible for developing and maintaining KPIs, reports, & dashboard designs.
  • Lead quality assurance activities to ensure the solution meets business requirements.
  • Lead/facilitate client meetings.
  • Identify and help resolve complex issues and problems and engages higher-level staff on risks and issues.
  • Acts as subject matter expert on insurance products and process to other team members.

Minimum Qualifications/Experience/Attributes:

  • Must have 3 Years of P&C Insurance experience (at least 5 years of experience preferred).
  • Must have 3-5 years of data, reporting and analytics requirements gathering experience, with a heavy emphasis on data integration, reporting and analytics.
  • Strong experience/exposure to one or more of Microsoft, Oracle, Amazon, Google, data reporting and management tools a plus. Azure strongly preferred.
  • 3 years of data profiling and data cleansing a plus.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of P&C insurance products and processes.
  • Demonstrated ability to liaise closely with business and IT leadership to establish, defend, and persuade implementing recommended solutions.
  • Strong communication, organizational, interpersonal and time management skills.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal direction and the ability to deal with a dynamic environment.
  • Experience leading others through the full development life cycle.
