Our client, a large electric and natural gas utility with service areas in several states, is currently seeking a Lead Assistant General Counsel (Regulatory) in Denver, Colorado

What you’ll do:

• Take a leadership role providing legal counsel to the company regarding regulatory matters in Colorado
• Manage a team of regulatory lawyers
• Manage outside counsel
• Work with leadership teams across the company to develop and direct strategies in legal and regulatory policy matters

What you will need:

• Juris Doctorate degree from an ABA accredited law school.
• Licensed to practice, or willing to become licensed to practice, in Colorado
• 10+ years in a corporate law department, law firm, government practice or equivalent legal experience – litigation experience a plus
• Experience in leadership or supervising of a legal team
• Demonstrated ability to model ethical and professional behaviors

Base salary range is expected to be between $156,000 and $220,000 per year.
