We are looking for a Lead Accountant to work for our client. The ideal candidate aligns with the responsibilities and qualifications outlined below.

Responsibilities:

• Support preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual GAAP financial statements and reports
• Ensure compliance with accounting processes, timelines, and internal controls
• Responsible for the review and maintenance of detailed analysis of balance sheet accounts and reconciliation to the general ledger on a monthly basis
• Ensure financial controls in place are operating effectively and makes improvements where needed; recognize if procedures are not followed and takes corrective action
• Train and mentor junior accountants on accounting best practices
• Ad hoc projects as assigned

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's in Accounting or Finance
• 5+ years of accounting experience
• Strong understanding of GAAP
• Excellent interpersonal and oral communication skills
• Strong attention to detail
