Our environmental construction team is searching for Landfill Engineers to fill multiple roles across the country. Locations include AL, CA, GA, IN, KY, OH, TN. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, constructing, operating, and maintaining landfill facilities in compliance with environmental regulations and safety standards. You will work collaboratively with other departments and stakeholders to ensure efficient and effective landfill operations.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Design and plan new landfill sites or expansions, ensuring compliance with environmental regulations and safety standards
• Conduct feasibility studies, site investigations, and engineering assessments to determine the suitability of sites for landfill construction
• Develop engineering plans, specifications, and cost estimates for landfill projects
• Oversee the construction and installation of landfill components, including liners, leachate collection systems, gas extraction systems, and monitoring equipment
• Develop and implement environmental management plans for landfill sites
• Conduct inspections and assessments of landfill sites to ensure compliance with environmental regulations and safety standards
• Manage and maintain records of landfill operations, including waste disposal volumes, equipment performance, and environmental monitoring data
• Collaborate with other departments and stakeholders, including waste management teams, regulatory agencies, and community organizations
• Provide technical expertise and support to landfill staff and contractors

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in civil or environmental engineering, or a related field
• Professional engineering license preferred
• At least 5 years of experience in landfill engineering, including design, construction, and operation of landfill facilities
