Labor & Employment Associate Attorney

An esteemed national law firm based in either Los Angeles or San Francisco is actively seeking a Mid- to Senior-level Labor & Employment Associate Attorney. This role encompasses deep involvement in advising and representing employers in sophisticated matters including litigation and counseling. The position demands strategic legal acumen in managing complex employment-related disputes with a focus on California-specific regulations. Salary: $285,000 - $420,000 per year

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Advice and representation of clients in employment law matters including counseling and litigation.
  • Provide strategic guidance on issues related to discrimination, retaliation, wrongful discharge, and other employment-related claims.
  • Navigate and manage complex wage and hour disputes and class action litigation.
  • Collaboration with clients and legal teams to facilitate effective legal solutions.
  • Driving results in a team-driven environment to support the firm’s national practice and client needs.

Minimum Position Qualifications:

  • JD from a top-tier law school with a strong academic record.
  • California Bar admission is mandatory.
  • At least 5 years of experience in representing employers in employment law with a concentration on California-specific legal matters.
  • Proven background in managing cases related to discrimination, retaliation, harassment law, and wrongful discharge.
  • Demonstrated track record in wage and hour law and class action litigation.

  • Experience with high-stake negotiations and settlements in employment disputes.
  • Proficiency in advising multifaceted employment issues in large corporate settings.
