Lab Technician

Our client, a global manufacturer and Tier 1 automotive supplier, is adding an Engineering Lab Technician to their expanding team in Troy, MI. They are a design-driven company that manufactures engine mounts, chassis modules, and other automotive components. Responsibilities:

The Engineering Lab Technician is responsible for quality assurance for components and materials through testing campaigns:

• Ensure team adheres to industry standards AND OSHA safety regulations
• Handle security documents to ensure that data is authenticated and organized
• Order lab supplies to support test development as needed
• Implement actions that support department’s key performance metrics
• Support IATF 16949 and ISO 17025 procedure development and implementation
• Physical set up of servo-hydraulic lab equipment and test systems
• Execute test procedures and troubleshoot as needed
• Operate MTS Flex Test software
• Other duties as assigned

Experience:

• Associate Degree in Engineering
• 3+ years of experience in automotive testing
• OSHA 10 Certification
• CAD software experience preferred
