Lab Manager - FILLED

A critical access hospital located in the central Midwest has an immedate opportunity for a Lab Manager (director-level). Reporting to the Chief Clinical Officer, the manager is responsible for the direction, scheduling and coordination of the personnel in the Laboratory Department. Staff complement is 12 total. Maintains performance improvement activities within the department and participates in quality improvement activities. Formulates budget and ensures productivity standards are met. Maintains effective physician and intradepartmental relations. Ensures compliance with regulatory agency requirements. Primary contact with reference laboratory.

The appropriate candidate will be a graduate of an accredited technical school or college with a Bachelor's Degree in Medical Technology, or comparable education and clinical work experience. Must have some type of prior supervisory experience. Also must be able to still work the bench during heavy times or as a fill-in (will not work a regular shift).
