Lab Director

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Oversee the day-to-day operations of the clinical laboratory, including the performance of tests, maintenance of equipment, and quality assurance.
• Ensure that the laboratory meets all applicable regulatory requirements, including CLIA.
• Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure the quality and accuracy of laboratory test results.
• Hire, train, and supervise laboratory personnel.
• Evaluate the performance of the laboratory and make recommendations for improvement.
• Represent the laboratory to other departments and to the public.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Degree in medical laboratory science, clinical laboratory science, or a related field.
• Licensure as a medical laboratory scientist or clinical laboratory scientist in the state in which the laboratory is located.
• Five years of experience in a clinical laboratory setting, with at least two years of experience in a supervisory role.
• Strong knowledge of CLIA regulations and other applicable regulatory requirements.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
