Position Responsibilities:
Reporting Sales Manager NE for a global provider of integrated logistics services offering international & domestic freight management, customs brokerage, logistics and distribution services with revenues approaching $ 2 billion.
Will be responsible for the development, and signing of profitable new business, additional business, contract renewals, as well as maintaining current accounts. Coordinates complete sales cycle process including prospect list initiation, lead generation, prospect qualification, analysis, RFQs, pricing, proposal preparation and presentation(s), contract signing, start-up and customer service follow-up after the sale. Challenge is to increase revenues and improve profitability.

Background Required:
  • Non-asset or asset-based LTL sales (3+ years)
  • Demonstrated track record of success
  • Knowledge of eastern region LTL markets
  • Time & territory management
  • Computer literate: Microsoft Excel, Access, Word, PowerPoint, & Outlook
  • Experience maintaining a CRM
  • High school diploma
  • Valid U.S. Drivers license
  • Residence: Greater Kearny, NJ or Long Island, NY
Background Preferred (but not required):
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree
  • Sales success within other industries
  • Domestic transportation operations
