Position Responsibilities:
Reporting to the COO of a premier, non-asset logistics provider that is experiencing rapid growth while staying committed to an excellent customer experience.
The LTL Manager is responsible for the development and implementation of an aggressive commercial growth strategy of the LTL brokerage business, delivering on a customer first sales philosophy, nurturing customer and carrier relationships, and ensuring continued growth of current accounts. Will require strong communication skills, energetic personality, and a strong work ethic. Will need to have a successful background in sales or account management, and an ability to thrive in a fast pace environment. The ability to comprehend complex situations and foresee what needs to be accomplished to achieve success is essential to this position. Possessing a self-starter mentality, who can provide ownership and accountability to this role is vital to achieving success. Challenge is to successfully grow new and existing customer accounts by providing superior service and ensuring best practices are being utilized by all team members, while increasing revenues and improving profitability.

Background Required:
- Experience growing and scaling a Freight Brokerage operation (5+ years)
- Leadership (Hiring, Training, Coaching, Mentoring) (2+ years)
- Mode of Transportation (i.e., LTL)
- Strong Selling Skills
- Strong Negotiation Ability (Carrier, Customer, Margin Integrity)
- Carrier Procurement KPI’s (i.e. load count, revenue, margin, call logs)
- Carrier following creation using historical data and carrier management techniques
- Develop and execute business plan strategies
- Computer literate (Microsoft Suite: Power Point, Word, Excel)
- Residence: Lexington, KY (Relocation possible)
