Job Purpose
The purpose of this job is to provide support services in the field of Knowledge Management (KM) and Information Technology (IT).
Duties and Responsibilities
Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
? On-Site Support. Provides on-site support to analyze and evaluate data sources to implement data visualization tools for the HQ, includes training and customer support.
? Technical Solutions. Provides solutions to retrieve data from multiple sources and provides output that allows users to view and analyze data.
? System Evaluation. Evaluates current system capabilities considering data sources, network access, data storage, data testing, security and control of integrated database. Provides a realistic POAM for documenting nature of data and potential for dashboard use, prioritizing visualization efforts, and developing a timeline to develop integrated and singular visualization this integrated dashboard.
? Data Visualization & Implementation. Implement a distinctive visual representation of collective data that creates, reads, and updates information from various database sources. Integrates customer specified data fields to produce reports. Provides filtering, calculations and sorting support needed for HQ analyst.
? Data Consolidation and Integration. Collects, compiles and parses data from the list of data feeds to create an integrated visual representation and reports from this information. Automated updates and feed from one or more of these databases into present data as though it call came from the same source. Implements data mining processes required to develop queries, forms and report use.
? Reporting Generation. Reports and displays data at a high level of accuracy. Reports will be gathered, sorted and packaged for subject matter use as well as executive leadership review. Sorts data pulls that generate reports for future use and audits.
KM Visualization IT Support
? Dashboard Management. Visualization projects will be updated and provided daily for each organization level (HQ, Type Commander, Direct Reporting Units) with drill down capability and the ability to automatically format the data into an analytical presentation.
? User Training. Training shall be provided for all users to enable users to data mine, automate and streamline data for future analysis.
Qualifications
Minimum Education & Experience:
? Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business IM/IT or directly related fields and five (5) years of relevant experience; OR
? Master’s degree and two (2) years of relevant experience; OR
? Eight (8) years of relevant professional experience in Computer Science or related fields. Relevant experience includes technical analysis, task planning and management, data integration, dashboard design, dashboard creation, and dashboard displays in MS suites such as Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Access, One Note, and SharePoint 2013.
? Must have a minimum of five (5) years’ experience working with data collection and information sharing programs.
Minimum Certifications:
? Valid Information Assurance Technician Level 2 (IAT-2)
? Valid CompTIA Security+
Skills, Knowledge, & Abilities:
Technical
? Microsoft Office Suite
o Mastery in using Microsoft Office Suite applications and tools (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Access, One Note, and SharePoint 2013) in preparing integrated reports, presentations and briefing slide desk for dashboard view.
? Microsoft SharePoint 2013
o Must be proficient in SharePoint 2013 central administration, development and capable of training non-IT users how to use these applications.
o Must be proficient in SharePoint Design 2013.
o Must be able to develop and write SharePoint Governance and other governance plans as needed.
? Must be proficient with web pages and be able to identify and resolve technical issues or inadequacies of web design/development and processes through debugging, research and investigation.
? Must possess the ability to share information through networking using the latest collaboration tools such as blogging and social media services.
KM Visualization IT Support
? Must have expertise in Content Types, Taxonomy, SharePoint Search, Life Cycle methodologies and Info Management policies.
? Must understand network/systems design skills to include server virtualization, network security design and Microsoft Systems designs.
? Must have a comprehensive knowledge of Navy and DoD regulations and protocols for information dissemination.
? Must understand applicable Privacy, Security and DoD Information Assurance directives that apply to information systems.
? Familiarity with data sources included but not limited to the following: Defense Civilian Personnel Data System (DCPDS), Total Workforce Management System (TWMS), Army Workload and Performance System (AWPS), iComplaints, Centralized Financial Management System (CFMS), Financial Management Information System (FMIS), Work Year and Personnel Costs (WYPC), Program Budget Information System (PBIS), Defense Travel System (DTS), Defense Civilian Pay System (DCPS), Logistics Services Support Repository (LogSSR), Wide Area Workflow (WAWF) suite of tools (Invoicing, Receipt, Acceptance and Property Transfer (iRAPT), Electronic Document Access (EDA), Item Unique Identification (IUID), Contracting Officer Representative Tool (CORT), etc.), LOGCOP and *Standard Accounting and Reporting System Field Level (STARS-FL).

? Must be proficient in office management.

? Must be detail oriented and well-organized; able to understand information systems and ensure accuracy of work.
