Position Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Senior VP of Sales for Canada, of a highly respected logistics organization. Serving as a global logistics partner for over a century, they offer highly specialized solutions for major industries throughout the world. With offices in over 100 countries and employing a vast number of logistics and supply chain professionals, they are a dynamic leader in the industry.
The Key Account Manager is responsible for managing strategic customers and driving revenue through organic growth within existing business units. They will act as the single point for selling *all* company services (warehousing, distribution, forwarding, ground transportation, customs & clearance) and will be responsible as the primary lead for management of the Strategic Customer Business Plans. They will also be responsible for understanding and acquiring new business units in this space. They will be the voice of the company for new and existing business and identify issues before they become problems. They will have a deep understanding of communication skills and how to operate to meet and exceed customer expectations. Conducts regular Business Review sessions with assigned Strategic Customers. The challenge is to increase revenue and maximize profitability.

Background Required:
  • Strategic Account Management within Logistics, Automotive (5+ years)
  • Logistics Processes, systems, and solutions
  • Strategic & tactical sourcing & logistics planning
  • Account Management (contact management, relationship building, implement formalized processes)
  • Sector Experience (Automotive: OEM, Aftermarket, Parts Supply)
  • Strong understanding of the following services: (warehousing, distribution, freight forwarding, ground transportation, managed transportation, customs clearance processes)
  • Metrics measurements (i.e., pricing, delivery, costs, quality audits)
  • Computer literate: Microsoft (i.e., Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Education: BA (Logistics or related business field)
  • Residence: Toronto or Kitchener Ontario
