Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced and customer-driven Key Account Manager (KAM) to support and expand our client's strategic retail partnerships across Canada. The KAM is responsible for managing key national and regional retail accounts, developing new opportunities, strengthening long-term partnerships, and driving year-over-year growth. The role requires a strong combination of sales acumen, relationship management, strategic thinking, and cross-functional collaboration with Customer Service, Operations, IT, and the leadership team. Experience with EAS, RFID, asset tracking and related is ideal.
Job Responsibilities:
Strategic Account Management
- Serve as the primary relationship owner for assigned key retail accounts in Canada.
- Develop and execute account strategies that support long-term growth, adoption of new technologies, and expansion into additional product categories.
- Strengthen relationships at all levels—store operations, LP/AP, IT, procurement, and executive teams.
- Maintain and grow existing portfolio revenue while driving incremental business.
Customer Engagement & Business Development
- Respond promptly and professionally to all customer inquiries.
- Prepare and deliver proposals, demos, and strategic presentations.
- Identify opportunities to cross-sell and up-sell EAS, RFID, and software solutions.
- Support lead qualification, prospecting, and pipeline development for new Canadian opportunities.
Reporting & CRM Management
- Maintain accurate account information, activity updates, and pipeline details in HubSpot CRM.
- Provide regular updates on key account performance, forecasting, and quarterly business reviews.
- Meet or exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual revenue and activity targets.
Internal Collaboration
- Work closely with Business Development, Customer Service, Operations, and IT to deliver seamless customer experience.
- Coordinate implementation, onboarding, and after-sales support for key accounts.
- Partner with the U.S. and Canadian leadership teams to support enterprise-level strategies and national programs.
- Uphold and model comany mission, vision, and values.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Strong communication skills (written, verbal, and presentation).
- Proven experience in account management or strategic sales role-retail technology preferred.
- Excellent relationship-building and active listening skills.
- Customer-oriented approach with a high degree of professionalism.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple high-value accounts.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ownership mindset.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM platforms (HubSpot preferred).
- Demonstrated leadership or future management potential.
