Junior Patent Litigation Associate - Washington, D.C.

Salary: $235,000.00 - $260,000.00 per year

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Represent clients in sophisticated patent litigation matters, ensuring all aspects of case defense are comprehensively managed.
  • Conduct exhaustive legal research and draft high-caliber motions, briefs, and other pertinent litigation documents.
  • Actively participate in all stages of the discovery process, including depositions, document reviews, and expert witness preparations.
  • Cooperate closely with a team of skilled attorneys to formulate and execute effective litigation strategies.
  • Manage case-related responsibilities diligently, ensuring strict adherence to deadlines and procedural accuracy.

Minimum Position Qualifications:

  • JD from a top-tier law school with a strong academic record.
  • Must be admitted to the Bar in Washington, D.C.
  • 2–3 years of substantive experience in complex, sophisticated litigation environments, particularly in patent litigation defense.
  • Strong writing, research, and analytical skills, proven through prior litigation work.
  • Exceptional advocacy skills and the ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team.
  • Demonstrated ability to handle fast-paced work environments and maintain a positive, professional presence.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • A technical degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science is highly advantageous.
  • Prior experience in a large law firm or a well-recognized intellectual property practice group.
