Junior Associate (Legal)
Job Description
The Junior Associate (Legal) will provide legal support, conduct legal research, prepare legal documents, assist with litigation and corporate transactions, and ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations. The role requires a proactive, detail-oriented, and ethically grounded legal professional capable of supporting clients and senior lawyers effectively.

- Conduct legal research on statutes, case law, regulations, and legal precedents.
- Prepare legal opinions, briefs, memoranda, and advisory notes.
- Support senior lawyers in providing legal counsel to clients.
- Draft pleadings, motions, affidavits, witness statements, and court processes.
- Attend court proceedings and assist in case preparation.
- Liaise with courts, registries, clients, and external stakeholders.
- Monitor case progress and maintain litigation files.
- Assist in company registration, regulatory filings, and compliance documentation.
- Draft and review contracts, agreements, and corporate documents.
- Support due diligence exercises and transactional matters
- Maintain professional communication with clients.
- Participate in client meetings and follow-up engagements.
- Ensure confidentiality and proper handling of sensitive information.
- Ensure compliance with legal procedures and internal policies.
- Maintain accurate legal records and documentation.
- Assist with policy drafting and review where required.
- Bachelor of Laws (LLB).
- Professional Law Certificate / Called to the Bar.
- 0–3 years post-call experience.
- Strong legal research and drafting skills.
- Good understanding of litigation and corporate practice.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and legal research tools.
- High ethical standards and professionalism.
