Our client is a 4* resort international chain located in Phuket, Thailand

Title of Position: Japanese Sous Chef

Package: 80,000 Baht

Benefits: Local Package

Japanese Sous Chef with strong expertise in traditional Japanese cuisine (Washoku).

Key Requirements:

  • Japanese national preferred
  • Minimum 10 years’ experience in Japanese cuisine
  • Strong expertise in Yakitori and traditional grilling techniques (Yakimono)
  • Solid knowledge of the six classical Japanese cooking techniques (Rokushu):
    • Nimono (Simmering)
    • Yakimono (Grilling)
    • Mushimono (Steaming)
    • Agemono (Deep-frying)
    • Tsukemono (Pickling/Fermentation)
    • Nama (Raw Preparation)
  • Previous experience in Yakitori, Robatayaki, Kaiseki, Izakaya, or traditional Japanese restaurants
  • Candidates currently living and working in Thailand are highly preferred
  • Leadership experience in kitchen operations and team management
