JMHS (Joint Message Handling System) Technician

Provides NIPR and SIPR Joint Message Handling System (JMHS) operation and maintenance services

for approximately 45 naval and joint activities per established SOPs. Monitors of JMHS messaging

processing and troubleshoots message delivery problems.

Has troubleshooting capability for C2OIX (Command and Control Official Information Exchange) and

a functional knowledge of D e f e n s e Messaging Dissemination System (DMDS).

Creates new profiles and maintain active customized user messaging profiles for unclassified

and classified computers per customer request using the Northrop Grumman Logicon Message

Dissemination System (LMDS) Mailroom application.

Has an understanding of the JANAP-128 military messaging format references held on site.

Provides Message processing via the Joint Message Handling System (JMHS) to allow delivery via

NMCI email according to user messaging profiles that they create and maintain.

Verifies full "Search Functionality" for all JMHS servers every two hours at a minimum.

Maintains and updates the official “Radio Log”; logs in all matters of significance to include any

outages or anomalies or issues to "pass down" to the follow-up Watch(s).

Creates or updates a user's account.

Provides troubleshooting type services and problem resolution to JMHS users who might contact the

JMHS Watch either telephonically or via email.

Be proficient in Microsoft Outlook in order to guide users with setting up Outlook Rules, ".pst" and

search folders.
