Investor Relations Account Director/Vice President

Investor Relations is a strategic management responsibility that integrates finance, communication, marketing and securities law compliance to enable the most effective two-way communication between a company, the financial community, and other constituencies, which ultimately contributes to a company’s securities achieving a fair valuation. Summary of Responsibilities:

The Investor Relations AD/VP executes the Company’s Investor Relations program to effectively communicate the Company’s strategy, financial performance and products. They will partner closely with senior management, internal legal counsel, corporate communications, and finance and key business areas across the organization.

Essential Functions:
  • Serves as a company spokesperson to the financial community by establishing and maintaining strong positive relationships with analysts and investors.
  • Leads the preparation and development of materials for quarterly earnings calls, financial conferences, and Investor Days.
  • Provides leadership and guidance to the investor relations analysts/associates to support the execution of the Investor Relations strategy.
  • Develops an in-depth understanding of all business units, including the key objectives and strategies of each unit, in order to develop materials regarding the company’s current and future performance.
  • Communicates with sell-side analysts and buy-side investors proactively and reactively by participating in conference calls and meetings, building rapport with the investment community.
  • Understands key differences between analyst consensus and Company forecasts in order to tailor communications to minimize gaps in expectations.
  • Creates investor marketing and targeting plan based upon analysis of institutional shareholder and target institution ownership trends, tracks activity and creates reporting dashboard.
  • Manages the creation and maintenance of reporting materials for key metrics for the Investor Relations team, Executive Management and the Board of Directors.
  • Utilizes analyses of company and peer company stock trends to develop market and competitor intelligence and to communicate the Company’s valuation.
  • Conducts market research and analyses to support communications and presentation information, including economic, industry, and regulatory developments.
  • Monitors company, peer and industry specific sell-side research, consensus estimates, other key financial metrics and industry trends to understand and communicate the company’s investment community perception.
  • Assists with the development of Investor Relations communications.
  • Responsible for maintaining accuracy of the Investor Relations website.
  • Performs ad hoc research and reports.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related business administration field, MBA or CFA preferred.
  • Minimum of 6-10 years' experience in Accounting, Finance, Institutional Sales, Healthcare Life Sciences, or Tech; experience in Investor Relations preferred.
  • Minimum 3 years' management experience.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication and relationship building skills.
  • Strong understanding of financial models, equity and debt markets, corporate financials and regulatory environment.
  • Familiarity with corporate investor relations and corporate finance preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to meet time-sensitive deadlines and carry out multiple priorities independently.
  • Ability to adapt to a dynamic, rapidly changing business and technical environment.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to prioritize, multi-task several projects/initiatives simultaneously.
  • Strong analytical skills required.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality required.

Working Conditions:
  • Extended schedule may be required as dictated by management and business needs.
  • Travel to multiple facilities may be required.
  • May be required to sit and review information on a computer screen for long periods of time.
