Growing local manufacturer based in Wilson, NC is looking for a motivated energetic Inventory Accountant to join their team. The ideal candidate will have thorough understanding of accounting in a manufacturing environment. S/He will possess strong quantitative and analytical skills. This position reports to the VP Controller.

Responsibilities:
• Perform Physical inventory, cycle counts and other inventory review as needed
• Reconcile inventory monthly to the General ledger
• Reconcile physical counts to perpetual inventory
• Record inventory Transfers and adjustments as necessary
• Review work orders variances to determine accuracy of inventory transactions
• Track and manage subcontractor inventory ensuring proper GL reporting and valuation
• Setup up EFT drafts for Sales daily and post payments to AR
• Coordinate with Assistant Controller on Cash Receipts to ensure proper reporting
• Prepare detailed account reconciliations of assigned accounts, resolving any reconciling items in a timely manner
• Work with outside sales regarding their inventory reporting and cash receipts

Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or related field
• 2 to 5 years of relevant financial experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment
• Thorough understanding of GAAP is required
• Strong quantitative and analytical skills are required with the ability to sort through data and determine root cause
• Excellent verbal and written skills
• Advanced Excel user preferred
• Experience with the Acumatica ERP platform or MS Dynamics are a plus
