International Tax Senior Roles

We are a thriving and highly profitable regional CPA firm seeking professionals for our International Tax Senior Manager, Manager, and Senior roles. These positions are pivotal to our firm as they support our international tax service offerings. Ideal candidates will be part of a dynamic team, fully engaging with partners and clients on challenging and enriching tax engagements. These roles provide a blend of in-office and remote work settings, perfect for professionals eager to balance personal flexibility with professional responsibility while requiring fluency in Japanese.

Salary: DOE per year

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Prepare international tax returns for various entities such as C corporations, S corporations, partnerships, high-net-worth individuals, and trusts and estates.
  • Address and resolve complex accounting and tax issues.
  • Engage in both fundamental and intricate tax research tasks.
  • Develop and maintain robust client relationships through effective communication and deliverables.
  • Identify actionable tax planning and consulting opportunities to aid clients in compliance and optimization.

Minimum Position Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Accounting, Tax, or Business Administration.
  • At least 2 years of tax experience, preferably in a public accounting environment.
  • Either holding a CPA license or actively working towards obtaining one.
  • Excellent attention to detail with superior communication, organizational, and analytical skills.
  • Self-motivated with an entrepreneurial mindset, capable of independent problem-solving and managing multiple deadlines.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior experience in an international tax capacity is highly advantageous.
  • Advanced certification such as a Master's in Taxation is considered a plus.
  • Experience with tax software and advanced Excel skills.

  • Demonstrated capability to handle complex tax and accounting issues.
  • Strong research skills, able to conduct comprehensive and effective tax research.
  • Proven interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage client expectations and develop relationships.
  • Effective time management and organizational skills.
  • Fluency in Japanese, essential for handling specific client portfolios.
