We are excited to offer a rewarding opportunity for an International Tax Manager to join our well-established, dynamic team in Charleston, SC. This role centers on leading and managing a wide range of international tax functions, directly impacting our strategic operations and contributing to our mission of providing top-tier tax solutions. The ideal candidate will engage in activities from high-level tax planning and compliance to intricate mergers and acquisitions. This is a pivotal role that combines leadership, strategic tax planning, and direct engagement with diverse and sophisticated client portfolios, ensuring not only compliance but also proactive tax saving strategies.
Salary: $135,000.00 - $160,000.00 per year
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provide expert advice on a variety of international tax matters such as corporate structuring, compliance, and strategic tax planning.
- Review and ensure accuracy of U.S. international information reporting forms.
- Lead quantitative analyses and manage complex projects relating to international tax strategies.
- Identify opportunities for new business development and expand client services.
- Deliver comprehensive international tax services for corporate clients, aligning with federal and state tax laws.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of evolving tax regulations and practices to advise effectively and ensure compliance.
- Manage and mentor team members, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.
- Engage in inbound and outbound tax structuring and worldwide tax minimization strategies.
Minimum Position Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field.
- Current CPA certification.
- Minimum of 5 years' progressive experience in public accounting with a significant focus on international tax.
- Extensive knowledge of international tax compliance, FIRPTA, tax treaties, U.S. withholding tax, and related matters.
- Proven ability managing client engagements and leading teams within a fast-paced consulting environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Advanced degree (Master’s or higher) in Taxation.
- Experience with top-tier accounting or consulting firms.
- Familiarity with tax technology tools for streamlined compliance and reporting processes.
