International Tax Manager
We are seeking an experienced International Tax Manager to join our well-established firm based in Charleston, SC. This position offers a unique opportunity to work on complex tax issues for clients on a global scale. As part of our team, you will report directly to the International Tax Director and play a pivotal role in our tax strategy, facilitating our clients’ success internationally. Salary: $135,000.00 - $155,000.00 per year
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Advise corporate clients on a variety of international tax matters including, but not limited to, planning, research, compliance, mergers & acquisitions, and transfer pricing.
- Review and assure accuracy in U.S. international information reporting forms.
- Lead quantitative analyses and international tax projects, ensuring optimal tax operations.
- Develop new business and expand client services while identifying emerging tax issues.
- Manage international tax compliance and strategy for corporate clients aligned with federal and state tax laws.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge on international tax laws and regulations to provide informed advice.
- Perform other essential duties as needed to support the firm’s objectives.
Minimum Position Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (BA/BS)
- Must hold a CPA certification
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in public accounting, with a specific focus on international tax issues.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects and team engagements.
- Demonstrated proficiency with tax law, particularly focusing on inbound and outbound tax structure planning, foreign tax credits, FIRPTA, tax treaties, U.S. withholding tax, transfer pricing and ASC 740.
- Strong knowledge in international tax compliance is essential.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Advanced degree in Taxation or Law preferred
- Experience with tax software and technology tools used in the international tax area
- Prior experience in a leadership role within a tax department
