Position Responsibilities:
Reporting to the International Logistics Officer of a growing, non-asset transportation and logistics company specializing in Truckload, Less-than-Truckload, and Intermodal in business since 2004.
The International Sales Executive will be responsible for managing, developing, and growing new and existing customer, carrier, and agent business regarding air, ocean, import, and export products. Will maintain & expand database of prospects, identify sales opportunities, cold-call targets, prepare quotes with operations team, close the sale, and follow-up. Ensures customer needs are consistently met, assists to resolve inquiries, and builds long lasting relationships with decision makers to understand future needs. Supports division’s sales objectives by executing cross-functional operations and process improvements to drive quality of all international services. Challenge is to expand account base, increase revenues, and improve profitability.

Background Required:
- International freight forwarding sales (3 years)
- Multimodal transportation (e.g., air, sea, over the road)
- Excellent knowledge of local markets and competitive landscape
- Hunter mentality and proven success in managing business relationships
- Knowledge of applicable state, federal, and international laws & regulations (e.g., customs, TSA, security)
- Develop, implement, and execute business plans
- Proven contributor to dynamic, high-energy sales team with varying levels of experience
- Independent work with minimal supervision
- Computer literate (Microsoft Suite: Power Point, Word, Excel)
- Residence: Indianapolis, IN or Home Office
- Freight forwarding operations
- Systems: Cargowise
- Enterprise solutions sales
- Transportation network understanding
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree
- Hunter mentality
- Financial acumen
- Team player (operates through consensus)
- Exceptional written, verbal, and in-person communication
