  • Review and ensure the completeness of all required export/import documentation and compliance requirements.
  • Monitor shipments in real-time, providing proactive status updates and communicating issues to stakeholders.
  • Respond to client inquiries regarding pricing, shipment tracking, and delivery timelines.
  • Coordinate with freight forwarders, customs brokers, carriers, and service providers to optimize cost and resolve issues.
  • Monitor supply chain performance to improve operational efficiency, control costs, and maintain high customer satisfaction.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients and cross-functional internal/external teams, resolving delays and operational challenges.
  • Manage transportation across multiple modes: ocean, air, land, drayage, FTL, and LTL.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with carriers, freight forwarders, and brokers; negotiate rates and monitor performance.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with sales, procurement, operations, customer service, and accounts payable/receivable teams.
  • Follow and enforce standard operating procedures (SOPs), shipment milestones, and KPI tracking frameworks.
  • Review and reconcile invoices with external providers to ensure accuracy.

REQUIRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple active shipments simultaneously.
  • Proficiency in Transportation Management Systems (TMS), inventory software, spreadsheets, email platforms, and external logistics portals.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills with experience working across global time zones and diverse client types.
  • Solid understanding of supply chain management, import/export procedures, and international trade customs regulations.
  • Experience with air and ocean freight modes and a working knowledge of trade compliance best practices.
  • Strong commitment to quality assurance — thoroughness and accuracy in all tasks, regardless of scale.
  • Collaborative team spirit with a shared-responsibility mindset and open communication approach.
  • Effective problem-solver: skilled at breaking down issues, identifying root causes, and implementing timely resolutions.
