Position Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Terminal Manager for North America’s largest bulk tank trucking fleet with 3,000 trucks and 8,500 trailers and $1B dollars in revenue. They have a network of more than 100 company-owned and affiliate terminals and facilities in key locations throughout the U.S, Canada, and Mexico. The position will be within a newly introduced Intermodal Division that is growing rapidly across the United States.
The Intermodal Planning Manager will interact directly with all intermodal rail ramps in their region ensuring that drivers are communicating effectively with their respective terminals. The manager will plan and schedule all loadings and unloading’s of their chassis & containers. They will be responsible for efficiently positioning all equipment where necessary to adequately service their market and maintain responsible chassis & container management. They will work with the rest of their team to schedule any essential work within the rail system and pull equipment to avoid any extra demurrage charges.

Background Required:
- Intermodal planning experience
- Driver management
- Extensive knowledge of intermodal rail ramps
- Equipment management (containers & chassis)
- Knowledge of bills of lading, in gate/out gate, dock receipts, & delivery orders
- Safety knowledge: CSA, DOT, OSHA, FMCSA, Hazmat
- Computer Literate: Microsoft suite (i.e., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Location: Chicago, IL
- History of reducing demurrage charges
- Driver recruiting & retention practices
- Background in TMW or related software
- Education: bachelor’s degree (i.e., Supply Chain, Logistics or Transportation)
