Intermediate Supply Chain Analyst
Position Summary:
Responsible for analyzing key supply chain metrics to optimize the performance of corporate service level targets while minimizing excess inventory and distress sales through effective inventory management.
Key Responsibilities and Duties
· Assist sales, marketing, and supply chain managers to mitigate risks around undesired long/short inventory positions by providing information on length of inventory shortages and root causes.
· Work collaboratively with functional leaders (Logistics, Demand Planning, Customer Service, Supply Planning) to execute supply chain improvements.
· Investigate reported issues affecting Supply Chain.
· Ensure business processes are Developed, Documented, Implemented, Utilized and Updated.
· Manage internal and external relationships to coordinate business initiatives and activities.
· Resolve business process issues, and work with business partners in investigating issues.
· Identify and lead the implementation of supply chain initiatives that will maximize the value of the trading partner relationship.
· Establish and maintain excellent working relationships with senior supply chain leaders within the customer's organization.
· Through competitive and best practice analysis, strategize and evaluate possible integrations of new industry tools and technology.
· Keep abreast of and appropriately leverage Best Practices used in the Consumer Packaged Goods industry.
Experience and Qualifications:
· Degree preferred or 3-5 years related business experience
· Understanding of Supply Chain concepts
· Strategic thinker who quickly understands the issues and identifies opportunities
· Strong problem-solver
· Passion for taking initiative & ownership and working independently
· Strong negotiation, collaboration and people partnering skills
· Excellent Excel skills
· Ability to work within a matrix environment
· Strong interpersonal and communication skills
· Ability to verify, analyze and summarize data
